Elf Haul! ♥☺

 Good afternoon!
I'm absolutely chuffed with how quick this order came in, I ordered it on Sunday night and I've just got it☺. I really do love Elf cosmetics, they're so cheap and amazing quality and constantly have new products coming in on there website! Its a shame that us in England can't get them in the shops though.
So I opened the box (with, I have to say, an extreme struggle. Whoever packed this box was on a mission to not let me in this box!) and saw all of these beauties.
I first opened the brushes, with the Blending eye brush I already knew what to expect because these are just repurchases and at £1.50 you really can't go wrong with them! Again at £1.50 I picked up a Concealer Brush because I can never get a decent coverage on a blemish just using my finger, so I thought I'd give using a brush at try. I've never been one to use brushes to apply my foundation, I don't know whether its because I prefer using my hands or if its just because I'm plain lazy ☺. I'd heard good reviews pottering around on using the Powder brush from Elf for applying foundation in a stippling motion, and I quite fancied trying it because it looked really dense on the website and thought it would work a treat. This was from the Studio range so it was a little more pennies but I don't mind regardless because £3.75 for a make up brush is still incredible! When I opened it it was just as dense as it looked on the website (which I'm very surprised about because sometimes pictures can be misleading) and its really soft, can't wait to try it!
Then I picked up some lip products. For a long time I've really wanted to try the Elf Studio Matt Lip Colour because of how much Becca from voussontbeautetbelle raves about them, they looked really pigmented and came in a billion different colours! I picked up the shades, 'Coral' & 'Natural and I'm so amazed by there pigmentation! They've got a lovely creamy texture that just slides on the lips, not leaving them dry but as though you've just applied some lip balm, VERY impressed! ♥ When I purchased the Lip Colours I thought they'd would be quite drying on my lips, as they are a matt finish. So I also picked up a Lip gloss in 'Wild' (which doesn't seem to be on the website anymore, sold out?!), a light pinky peach colour which I thought we blend well with both of the Matts.
Top - Elf Lip Gloss in 'Wild'
Middle - Studio Matt Lip Colour in 'Natural'
Bottom -
Studio Matt Lip Colour in 'Coral'

I also picked up a Shimmering Facial whip in 'Spotlight', this again like the blending brush is just another repurchase, I usually use this for a number of amazing things, just as examples I tend to use it for a primer / shadow base and it looks stunning as a highlight colour aswell, such a bargain for £1.50! Another repurchase I picked up was a Nail Polish in 'Mint Cream', This is my all time favourite nail polish and I've bought about 4 of these from the Elf website! The colour is gorgeous however my only problem is it tends to go a bit gloopy over time, like most nail polishes though you can just add a dash of remover to it and its as good as new and another bargain at £2.00!
I really want to teach myself how to properly contour my face, but I didn't want to purchase a high end, expensive product because its really just to play around with. This Bronzer Pallet is perfect because it has different shades for me to try until I find my perfect colour, the white can also be used for highlighting so its a good product to take travelling with you the bottom right hand corner also being good as a blush and at £3.75 I think its a really good find. The blush is just a repurchase, in 'Candid Coral' as my other one has started to hit pan and I'd like a back up!
I'm really please with all of my purchases and can't wait to try all of my new things!
Toodle pip! ♥

Review! Models Own 'Hedkandi' in Ibiza Mix.

Hello Lovelies!
It was my best friends birthday yesterday and a few days ago I went shopping for her birthday stuff and such and I'd recently been paid all the money I was owed by Student Finance (genuinely felt like I'd won the lottery!) so I went a bit spend happy and came home with hundreds of new products.

I went into Boots and came across a new range of polishes by Models Own. They have come out with a Hedkandi range which are all neon and bright colours with a few glitter polishes too. I picked up silver glittery one for my friend and then also picked up one called 'Ibiza Mix' for myself, which is a clear varnish with a mix of chunky and small pieces of rainbow glitter.
My first expectations of it were really really high because I once used a glitter polish from another range from Models Own and it was incredible and only really needed two coats to create a really good pigmented glitter look. However I applied one coat to a clean nail and hardly anything came out, I literally had to position the glitter on my nail myself because it kept coming out in clumps! After letting it dry I attempted another coat and it just happened again, but it did look much better with the second coat.
After two coats!
To be completely honest, I'm a smidgey bit disappointed with how it turned out on my nails, but I think its because my last purchase of there polish was amazing, maybe next time I use it I'll try it over a different colour just to add some rainbow sparkles. Overall it was an okay find and it wasn't THAT much of a waste because Models Own polishes are usually £5 a go but at the moment in Boots they are buy one get one half price so really it only cost me £2.50!
